Celina Jaitly shared a heartbreaking video crying at son Shamsher’s grave, accusing husband Peter Haag of violating court-ordered custody access.
Celina Breaks Down at Her Son’s Grave
Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly is going through perhaps the hardest phase of her life. A few days ago, she posted a video on Instagram that is difficult to watch without feeling a lump in the throat. In the video, she is seen sitting at the grave of her late son Shamsher, cleaning it, and crying uncontrollably.
The video came at a time when divorce proceedings between Celina and her Austrian husband Peter Haag are ongoing in an Austrian court. Amid this, Celina has made several serious allegations that paint a deeply painful picture of a mother’s anguish.
“I Had No Choice But to Share This Video”
In her caption, Celina wrote — “I had no option but to share this heart-wrenching video so that I could show the world my pain as a mother.”
She explained that she had traveled to Austria for the divorce hearing. She had hoped that, following the court’s joint custody order, she would be able to meet her children. That did not happen. According to her, despite a promise made in front of the judge, the children were taken to an unknown location.
In Austria, the only child she could “meet” was the one who is no longer in this world.
The Grief of Losing Son Shamsher
In 2017, Celina and Peter welcomed twin sons for the second time. One of the babies was born with hypoplastic heart condition — meaning his heart was not fully formed. He passed away shortly after. His name was Shamsher.
That wound had barely begun to heal when the divorce battle and custody fight broke her further. Celina sitting at the grave and weeping perhaps shows exactly how much she has been shattered inside.
“I Gave Up Everything, Yet I Was Kept Away from My Children”
Celina alleges that she sacrificed everything for her husband’s career. She left India, her parents, her work. She followed him to Dubai, Singapore, Austria — wherever he went, she went. She raised their children largely on her own.
In her words — “I gave up everything for this marriage and my children. In return, I got nothing but humiliation and the slow loss of everything I owned.”
Now, as the divorce proceeds, she says the children are not even allowed to speak to her. She further alleges that the children are being manipulated and pressured into speaking against her.
The Divorce Petition and Domestic Violence Allegations
In November 2025, Celina filed for divorce at the Andheri Court in Mumbai, citing domestic violence and mental harassment. Celina and Peter Haag got married in 2010. They had twin sons in 2012, and again welcomed twins in 2017.
This case is not merely about the personal turmoil of a well-known face. Legal experts point out that in international custody disputes — where the children are in one country and the mother in another — enforcing court orders becomes extremely complicated. In such situations, the children are often the ones who suffer the most.
“I Will Not Give Up” — Celina’s Resolve
Despite everything, Celina made it clear that she will not back down. She wrote plainly on social media that what is happening to her is wrong, and she will keep fighting.
This entire episode raises an uncomfortable question once again — when a mother cannot meet her children despite a court order, what does the system really stand for? Celina’s fight has gone far beyond legal documents now. It has become a mother’s desperate cry for justice.
